I only become lucid via dreamsigns, is this bad ?

Hey guys, altogether I have had about five lucid dreams however these have all been due to me recognising my dreamsigns when dreaming... Should I be using differant techniques or doesn't it matter. Also sometimes I woke up from a LD but stayed completely relaxed and focused on my breathed and then went back into the LD, is this a technique?

Lol that's a good thing imo. I wish I could become lucid via dream signs. And yeah the thing you did was DEILD (Dream Exit Induced Lucid Dream).

I can see you sleep through your bedroom window. You're killing yourself with lucid dreaming.

No, that's great! The technique that consists of you becoming lucid via dream signs is called DILD. The other one is DEILD.

If it is working, keep it up. There is no "right" way to lucid dream. Do whatever works, and keep experimenting.

It's obviously working, so no! Keep it up.

The more you have you will eventually start spontaneously realizing you are dreaming...at lesat that is my experience. People tout ADA but maybe it is just experience... I am getting better without consciously working on ADA, but others swear by that method too.

It might not be a technique, per se, but hey, if it works, don't knock it ... Awareness (aka spotting those dream signs) trumps technique every time anyway, so count yourself lucky!

Different people seem to find different techniques to be easier or more effective. In my opinion, the best technique for any one person is the one they can get to work, so, yea, that's awesome. You might want to branch out and try other techniques at some point because you might find other techniques that you really like or that are easy for you. But, whatever you are doing now, it works, so keep doing it.
