Thread: Was this a close lucid dream?

It happened a while back but basically it happened like this; I was in a store and these guys were robbing it and they shot everybody but I was still alive. They ended up shooting me, and before they shot me I remembered to repent. So I did and I remember walking out the store and telling myself that I was dead Therfore could fly. Also in the dream I reminded my self to go to my moms house to let her know I died. A lot of other things happened but I do remember that when I was flying it felt so real!! But idk if it was a lucid dream because in a lucid dream u realize ur dreaming. I Just realized that I was dead and I knew I could fly.

Doesn't sound like a lucid dream. Although you had a pretty good shot, just keep on practicing! I would recommend to follow some tutorials on this forum, they are very helpful!

Yeah....dream control isn't the same as lucidity. I've done some pretty amazing things while not lucid (floating flying flips etc) but that doesn't make it a lucid dream. If you know you're dreaming you're lucid....dream control and the abilities that come with it are the icing on the cake.

It sounds like you had some form of control in the dream, but no it wasn't a lucid. A lucid dream is where you realize you are dreaming. In the dream you described, you just thought you were dead.

Anyway, keep trying! I'm sure you will get a lucid dream soon and it will be great.
