lucidity web saga by third productions

      Hey guys,
Last night I was searching around the internet, like you do, and found something quite cool that i'm sure lucid dreaming fans will love.
Third Productions ~ Lucidity Web Saga ~ Press on Lucidity
Third productions is a small zero-based-budget film company that makes ( mabye made because i'm not sure if there making it any more) a series called lucidity. It's nice, I mean its no Hollywood Blockbuster but still quite fun to watch. It's not necessarily a way to learn lucid dreaming because some stuff is not correct to make it more enjoyable to watch. I love seeing things like this because its show's people with good media talent have passion for lucid dreaming.I also have big plans for later on in 2013 for a huge lucid project which I will release more information on soon Finally if anybody knows these guys or has contact with them or even maybe there on this forum please tell them I would love to see more episodes because I enjoyed there series a lot.
Hope you guys decide to watch it
( P.S. Third Productions is located in the LA area, don't know where though )

Can't say i like that at all, seemed more about their egos than anything else. Also, can't say they really inspired any kind of authority on the subject. But the worst thing is their overuse of swirling colors.

Well the swirling lights are bad I agree with that, but come on give them some respect for trying. I mean yes it's not the best but I think you guys just watched the first episode which I admit is awful. It's more of a foundation for more lucid media, videos, art, etc.. I don't think it's right to say its the worst thing you have ever seen after all it did win the LA web series award 2012 ( I think)
And about the link, do you mean your not aloud to post external links sorry I didn't know please can a moderator remove it.
Sorry I didn't impress you guys looks like we are going to have to wait until something as good as inception to impress you

Hey GangsterPanda thank you so much for sharing the love. My name is Sean and I create Lucidity. I'm glad that it was something you could respond to and that you watched multiple episodes to give it a real chance. We are definitely still making the show and won't stop until the story is told. I'm editing Episode 7 as we speak! I will try to remember to message you with the link when it is finished. Also, we are based out of Phoenix Arizona, but would love to go to LA someday.

It's very true that neither Danny nor I's passion is in acting. But this is a story that we feel very passionate about and we try do the very best we are capable of. Danny's main passion is Music and I highly suggest you take note of the epic original score, and I mainly wish to write and edit, so those are my strengths. It's actually fantastic that Mr Sandman made the ego comment, because as the show unravels the main characters are forced to see their egos and confront that. It has a lot of foundation from Waggoner's ideas about the mind behind the dream. So in a lot of way's he's totally right, this has a lot to do with the characters egos, and in a lot of ways the characters are modeled after us (which makes it really scary to think about us trying to act like completely different people haha).

As far as it being a dream guide, it most certainly is not and isn't intended to (although in Episode IV the main characters watch a dvd that is pretty much only filled with actual information). But unlike movies like Inception we do sprinkle in very real knowledge and I've had several fans relate lucid experiences after watching the show. We try to capture the essence and madness of lucid dreaming along with some bits information, but since its a narrative at heart we do take opportunities to try new ideas. I also would never claim to be an authority on the subject, but I did gave a presentation at last years IASD Conference and recently spoke in front of 850 people about Lucid Dreams in my home town. I mention these simply to express that we are not trying to profit off of dreams or anything like that. This really is a huge passion of mine and so is film making and this was the best way for me to combine the things I love.

Every episode our main critique to our selves is our horrible acting, I believe we get better with every episode, but please give the story a chance and don't let our shortcomings ruin the whole ride for you. Hahah I'm re-reading over what I wrote and I sound very self conscious of my acting, but I'm not going to change it, I can't get mad when someone points out a rough spot that is totally there.

      Thanks again Panda!

      - Sean

Such a badass show! I think people forget how much work goes into any sort of media, and how difficult they actually are to make. Sean and Danny (and all the others) do a great job at showing how crazy our dreams can be and how thin the line is when going between realities. I hope people give it more of a chance, it is hilarious!

I love the Lucidity Saga! I think it's hilarious and the acting is good - not seriously serious acting, but it doesn't have to be. My favourite is the maniacal co-worker. Sure it's not 100% informational but the storyline is fun and, when it was running, it got me lucid all the time because I was thinking about it. Same with Get Lucid! which I LOVE and which really got me into lucid dreaming (+ it referred me to the Lucidity Saga.) Get Lucid is HILARIOUS and gives loads of ideas for dreaming. It's actually pretty informative most of the time. I'm itching to see/hear more stuff from both of them (pleeaase Sean and Joe!)

Wow, thanks for all the support guys! Glad to hear the inspiration caused not only by our show, but by Get Lucid Podcast as well! Just a reminder, it IS still running! We are working on episode 7 as we speak! The show is taking a little longer then expected to make, because of the large scale nature of the show that we actually didn't plan for, and the fact that there are really only about 5 or 6 of us (excluding the volunteer actors, who aren't even real actors for the majority) who make the show happen. Things get especially tricky, when the composer and the editor were thrown into the lead roles hahaha, but hopefully we will continue to grow in our film-making process, hopefully we can one day win over the affection of those whom think it isn't their cup of tea, but more importantly, hopefully we continue to inspire a few people to progress down the road of lucid dreaming!

I think their show is fantastic... creative, funky and fun... and I learned a bit more than I know about Lucid dreaming already. ALOT of heart goes into this I can see. I showed my teenage sons and they 'get it'.... far as people dissing it they'd be the same ones making down remarks about any other movie am sure... boys call these guys trolls...

A lot of heart and soul goes into this and I can totally see this being shown in Austin, Tx where I reside... where 'keep Austin weird' is the mantra.. where musicians and creative people's from all over the continental US and beyond come and meet once a year....

      My two cents.

Wow thanks Sean i'm so glad there's going to be more episodes, i'm really proud about how you incorporate lucid dreaming in to a form of media entertainment. i'm ecstatic that you actually replied to this thread I actually never thought that would happen. Sorry about getting your location wrong I will try and change that, but for some reason recently I have been unable to edit any of my posts. Again it would be great if you would PM when episode 7 is released I would love that . keep doing what you are doing, I know someone who is fairly big in the film industry I think I mentioned this above, actually he's a director and he loves watching things like what you produce because it reminds it of his earlier stage of his career so I think it will be a good idea to send this to him. Hope all goes well in the development of your new and current web series, actually do you have a rough time scale of how long the next episode will take to be released and I believe there's a new series so how long do you think that would take to get the first episode up? Sorry i'm just so excited I understand that you have no budget so I shouldn't be asking you about a schedule. Again I wish you success in what ever you plan to do in future with III productions,

Hahaha no problem Panda. It was great to stumble upon your post, it really makes my day when I randomly meet someone who enjoys the Saga. Don't worry about editing the post, it's really not an issue. In fact, it may be better promo if some people think we're from LA

Thank you very much for passing the saga along to your friend. Sharing media is the best thing anyone can do for low budget people like myself. Definitely let me know what he thinks, even if it's not positive lol

Episode VII is pretty deep into Post-Production so it shouldn't be too much longer now. What's left is the original score and special effects. I'm hoping it will be out in early January, and I will definitely make sure you get a link. We do have a series called Globalist in pre-production, but it has been put on hiatus in favor of some more lucrative gigs. One of which is a Semi-Satirical-Metaphysical-Rock Band called 'But Vessels'. We have one video out now called "Sedona Song" but we filmed some more and they should be out soon.

I really can't express my gratitude Panda. Thanks for digging the show

Hey I know half the people in this thread absolutely hated our series, but for those of you who have watched closely and caught onto the underling story will be happy to know that we have released the latest episode.

Holy shit! Joe from get lucid, and Sean from Lucidity web saga, posting in the same thread?

am.. am I... Am I lucid?

Seriously though, I fucking love the lucidity web saga, and even though the effects might not be holywood, I think the acting is actually pretty good. The story is really interesting, and I can't wait till the next episode comes out. Get on that!
Also, Joe. I'm a huge fan of your podcast, and really hope to see more episodes coming in the future! Hard to stay juicy when my Itunes is all dry
      Cheers!
