      Near-WILD experience at school

      First, some backround...

These last two days I have gotten little sleep -- four hours Sunday night and five six hours Monday night. I learned about lucid dreaming about two weeks ago. I started a dream journal, but after four days of writing became tired of doing this and stopped (I had good dream recall before learning about lucid dreaming). I also started doing many reality checks, but as time passed I've done less and less due to forgetting. I've tried doing a WILD a few times, but without success. Either I simply fall asleep, or I cannot relax enough to even get to the point of falling asleep.

Today in my second period at school, I set my head down on my desk and went to sleep. I was faintly listening to the teacher while beginning my nap. I remember sometime during the 25 (roughly) minute nap I remember my left leg twitching. The strange thing is this. Sometime during my rest I heard a whisper saying "Wake up...". It was pretty faint and sounded much like the whispers your hear in movies and such, drawn out, quiet, mysterious. The sound seemed to come from the right. I thought it was my friend sitting to my left trying to wake me up, but I ignored it and continued to rest. Then, moments after, I heard another whisper, this time coming from the left. It sounded just about the same as the first whisper, just more feminine than the first. It also said "Wake up".

This time, I actually awoke though. I was completely conscious, but was under heavy sleep paralysis. I couldn't move my arms, my legs, my head -- I don't remember if I could even open my eyes or not (It was early in the day so I don't remember exactly what happened). It took around 15 seconds before I was actually out of paralysis.

I turned to my left and asked my neighbor why she tried to wake me up. She just looked at me, confused. I told her I heard her say "Wake up" to me. Just more confused staring. She said she never said anything to me during my nap. And that's when it hit me -- I had nearly succeeded WILDing, without even attempting it.

Note: This wasn't the first time I had had sleep paralysis. Around two weeks ago, the day after learning about lucid dreaming, I had sleep paralysis in the same class.

This is my question. Was I actually, in a sense, WILDing? Also, if so, is there a way I can replicate what happened during class, and try to do the same at night when I actually attempt to WILD? It seems a bit coincidental that I had somewhat WILDed in class, just after learning about it and attempting to do it myself at home.

It sounds like you were indeed WILDing! It may have came so easily because of your lack of sleep. The only thing I can think of to replicate that is to lose sleep, but I wouldn't really recommend that.

Hahaha nice, look for mzzck's Wild tutorial or Sageous wild classes, they are the best for wild. If you need more info just send me a PM

I'm going to attempt to WILD again tonight, trying to replicate what I did this morning. Hopefully things will go well.

My headphones fell out during the night so I didn't have a chance to WILD. However, at school today in the same class, I took another nap and noticed that about 15 minutes later I was in sleep paralysis again. Instead of hearing the teacher, I heard a soft, rumbling/humming noise. I then woke myself up because class was going to end soon. Does this mean I'm learning how to WILD? Or is it just by chance that I'm reaching sleep paralysis?

It could be some phycological thing maybe. If you think that you are going to have a WILD in that same class than you probably will. I'm not a phycologist or anything, so don't count my word as good advice!

I really want to attempt to initiate a full WILD in class, but I sit in the front row and am afraid of doing something in my sleep that would embarrass me. The teacher does not care that I sleep in his class, and I'm getting an A, so there is no reason not to in that aspect. I'm just afraid that I may say something accidentally, fall out of my seat, or do something even worse than the previous examples.

That would really suck, but ultimately it is up to you to make that decision if you want to WILD in class.
