What does the future hold for a lucid dreaming?

      Yo guys,
When I think of this subject I normally get quite down, lucid dreaming is truly one of the most amazing things in my life and I think it will remain as one of my favourite things in life for as long as I can do it. So naturally when you look in perspective of our awesome lucidity dreaming to how internationally know it is the results are quite sad. Think of it this way gangnam style, a man pretending to be a horse is the most viewed video on YouTube imagine how better off the world would be if it was a lucid dreaming related video. I don't like seeing lucid dreaming being isolated to a small community's around the Internet. And don't get my wrong Dreamviews is amazing and has done everything it can do to help lucid dreaming in the way it evolves as a hobby. But I just feel that lucid dreaming needs more purely because of how great it is. So I think it's time for something big, a social shift of how lucid dreaming is viewed. A new year is coming up and would be a great time to change lucid dreaming to more of a globally recognised hobby up there with model making and horse riding. I know there is the argument that lucid dreaming is something you must find and study at your own speed, sucking out information were you can get it. But everyone on this forum is extremely lucky to find lucid dreaming, there are people dying right now who have never had the great experience of having a lucid dream. So I'm asking you fellow members of Dreamviews, lovers of the best hobby that is possible to help me, I need ideas people together we can socially shift the global view of lucid dreaming for the better
Peace world have a amazing adventurous night

Fuck lucid dreaming, let's get these people food and water. This is a fun side activity, on Maslow's heirarchy of needs, a lot of people don't have the first level covered.

I was extremely interested in dreams from age 5 and up, but I did not hear about LDing till I was 19. So I agree that LDs should be more widespread.

I do think most people should do it, but more as a hobby type thing, haha, not as a thing that people need. I do not think that it leads to a higher understanding of anything but yourself, and I already had a lot of that before I started.

      Hello GangsterPanda!

I agree with you about this gangnam style crap!

But some way I don't want lucid dreaming as a global known hobby.. I don't know why this pops up in my head.. I think a lot of people don't even want to do a lot of practice/effort/discipline to lucid dream.. and keep lucid dreaming.. and there will also be a lot of people who aren't going to take it seriously etc etc... these thoughts are keep popping up on this subject!

I kind of like this small group.. because we have people who go for it all the way 100%.. kind of rather have quality people above quantity..

For me this feels like a small good 'elite' lucid dreaming community, and I kind of like it this way.. But I am curious about others people opinion! Anyway nice topic man!

I was thinking about the exact same thing! I like this "elite" community, but I think that lucid dreaming will ultimately be widespread around the world in the future if people decide to take it seriously and put in the practice. Right now I don't think many people even know it exists!

Yes, but if there were more people there might be better techniques and things that will make it easier to LD.

Sometimes I feel like the world really could do with people knowing how to lucid dream, but then I think and see that no matter what we do the majority of the crowd are idiots and the planet is doomed to fail.
I will still spread lucid dreaming to everyone that wants to learn because I want to share all the amazing things I have done.
As michael said, I also only really feel like the people who actually deserve it should lucid dream. Most people are just pricks living a simple life, going with the flow, trying nothing out of the box and constantly seeking to be recognized by other people.
The more I think about it, I actually don't want to share lucid dreaming to the whole world. The world doesn't deserve such a treat, I hope that one day there is a global crisis. Might sound harsh but we can't keep going the way we are now.

People who are not opened to new ideas, nor they care to learn anything new, will not believe you no matter how you present lucid dreaming to them. They will still think you lost it and belong to looney bin, or you are playing with dark forces and you will burn in hell for that.

People who are openminded will browse the internet themselfs in search of explanations of their experiences, or they find lucid dreaming while they search for related things, same way many of us did.

There is no point in trying to "turn" someone who doesn't want to be "turned". They need to evolve and come to realization by themseves. It can not be forced on people that are not ready yet.

Then there is a precious few, who would have interest, and they do have the drive, but they don't have the means or the information. And to these people we can "reveal our secret" and hope that they will embrace it.

That is true. Most people do suck. I guess LDing should be left to us "dreamers". It amazed me how nice the people on here were and how they all seemed pretty smart. That might have to do with the type of people that just randomly look up dreams on the internet.
