      False Awakening..?

Last night I am almost positive that I had a false awakening. I was fully conscious of the fact that I was awake, and I turned to my phone to put my dream that I was having in my electronic dream journal. Everything seemed fine. When i woke up next, I had forgotten the dream i wrote down. When i went to check my phone, there was no dream recorded, and I lost memory completely of what I had put into it. I am assuming this was a dream, and am thinking that if I do a RC when i wake up every morning, that something like this can be turned into a lucid dream, if it were to happen again. Can anybody put some input on this situation?

      -Peace,
      Nick

Yup, when you went to check the record, that was FA. And yes, you can catch them if you get into habit of RCing every time you get up from bed. But it sounds you were lucid before the FA?

That I'm not sure of. I've recently started to really focus on my dream recall and it's proven to be effective, except for this case. I did not remember anything before waking in my bed, which is frustrating seeing how I could have easily been lucid. Oh well, thanks for the help! I will continue to post if I get results with RC'ing every time I wake.

DO an RC every time you wake up, hopefully you will recognize if you have any other FA's. I think FA's do hold a lot of potential for lucid dreaming if they can be spotted, you should consider it a benefit to have them as you are on step closer to lucidity

Thanks for the input! I'm striving for 3 LD's a week by the end of march. Hopefully it works!
