      Strange lucid dreaming expirience

It happened accidentally and was really cool.

I don't know if it's some kind of a lucid dream method but whenever I try it it works.

      This is how it worked.

I was with some friends when I became really sad about something.

I kept looking at the same thing/direction feeling sad.
While this was happening to feel better I sarted having some kind of a story in my mind.
Without noticing it I was lucid dreaming.

The weird thing is though that my eyes were open and there was a lot of noise. I could lucid dream and see whats going on in the real world.
I was doing two things at the same time: Having a lucid dream and looking with my eyes seeing what was happening.

Of course I had sleep paralysis like every time I am lucid dreaming though.

I was having a lucid dream for about 2 minutes, it was REALLY stable, more stable than lucid dreams I usually have, and when I finsihed my dream I decided to "Wake up". So I did what I always do when I am lucid dreaming and I was completely back to real life.

All that time I could listen to my friends saying that I am doing a prank on them by standing still and a few times they pushed me.

So, the strangest thing was that when I got up, my friends told me I was like that for about 15 minutes! (While I thought I were for 2 minutes)

I thought that it was strange so I did it again an hour later and the same happened.

      Anyone knows what was that?

      Thanks.

Did you actually fall asleep? It is unusuall to sleep with open eyes. Not sure if your eyes would not get hurt that way.

It's possible you fell asleep and you had a dream of seeing the room. Or you were not asleep and had some intense day dream.

But i'm really just guessing, sorry.

I was not asleep. Whatever U saw in the room was real cause I verified it with my friends.

I was not asleep. I was like something between sleep and awake. I had sleep paralysis.
It was like I was sleeping with my eyes open and I could see while dreaming.

      Thanks for your reply

When you are asleep, sometimes you can still sense things from waking world, that simply might have been it, especially considering time bending. Though indeed sleeping with open eyes is quite unusual.

Wait - doesn't sleep paralysis mean you wake up paralysed, but can still move/open your eyes and you're dreaming at the same time? Or am I missing something?

Sleep paralysis means that you can't move when you have finished dreaming and you wake up.

I thought of that but what I saw got verified by my friends. That's why I know I was awake.
