      Unhappy I lost it?

      Hello there,

I have had almost 5 lucid dreams now, all of them quite cool and I just love the feeling of really being 'up there' in my own head. My recall was actually pretty good, until like a month or so...
I can't almost remember a single thing from what I dream. It's very frustrating really. Strangely my dreams have become longer and longer and when I wake up, I just know I had an extensive dream. The only thing is that I can't remember a single thing of it. The only times when I rember something is when a similar thing from my dreams occurs in real life. I don't know what is going on, it's like I completely lost my focus...As if a blanket has been trown over my head and it's all just blank there. I've been a little under stress lately (nothing big really) , but now that I have 2 weeks off, I would have thought that it would've come back to me, but it isn't...

Can someone please give me some advice on what to do, because I really enjoy lucid dreaming...but if I can't even remember my normal dreams...

      It would be much apreciated.

      Greetz,

      A desperate dreamer

i don't know exactly how to help, but maybe just continue trying to remember, maybe repeat a mantra or something, and keep a dream journal... eventually you will be able to remember again c:

good luck and happy dreaming c:
Come on, try, give your command
Then you'll see and understand that my heart's no longer here
To be swayed by even tears.
If I were to move again, everything would be in vain
Every aspect of my life would descend into the dark

All I know is that I've had lucid dreams a long time ago and then they just stopped abruptly. I didn't know what to do really. About 8 or so months later, I came here and joined this forum. After inputting many Dream Journal entries over a period of about 2 months since I joined, I actually started to have lucid dreams again. I haven't been writing in my Dream Journal for a while and since I stopped, the LD's have stopped as well. A dream Journal, along with as many entries as possible, is essential to be able to remember more and more dreams as time goes by, and to greatly increase your dream recall. Whatever you remember from any dream, no matter how minuscule, should be written down in order to remember more of future ones. This is just what I think though.
      Oof.

Dream recall can be pretty unstable at times, for known or unknown reasons. Is there anything in particular that changed when it stopped, especially with sleeping schedule? If there is, it might be the reason, but either way don't worry, keep trying and also writing positive dream journal entries even when no recall, like "I had an awesome dream and i will recall it better next time!", dream recall will be back!

Alright, thanks everyone for replying! I will follow the advice you've given! I'm going to begin to write in my dream journal right now, even if it's just one sentence! Hopefully the dreams will come back to me after some time...thanks again!
