I haven't stretched time in an LD on purpose, but I have spent a week in a lucid. It isn't something that I did on purpose, but a lot of people (like hukif) have been able to dilate time in a dream.
I have had dreams where I have gone further "into the dream" by sleeping and woken up IWL, and other times where I have woken up in another dream, and other times where it continues the previous dream. A dream within a dream really is just a scene change or teleporting.
One thing that hukif says is that whatever you believe will work (like dream control) should work. So if you think that falling asleep in a dream will dilate time, then it should. According to him. I believe him, but of course there is no proof anyone can offer for that.
Anything can happen in a dream.
Also "everything is consistent" is not true for everyone. If you think everything is consistent then it will be. I like to change dreams from being consistent to not, so I decide which ones are consistent by believing that they are and I can go back in a different dream.
