Hi All.
I don't usually use stabilising techniques apart from at the very beginning of my Lucid as they quite often wake me up.
I'll be having a nice stable Lucid and think, I've been in quite long now so I'll touch some surfaces or something to make sure I don't lose it all of a sudden, and then the Dream will fade.
I put this down to unintentionally thinking of losing the Dream as I'm trying to stabilise.
So Instead of stabilising I just use the linking technique spinning, then I don't have to worry about stabilising as I know I can just keep it going by linking it.
However yesterday I was trying to think of a way that I could stabilise where I didn't have to touch anything or think of stabilising in any way after the initial one at the very start of the Lucid.
I quickly thought of making it rain! And that if I made it rain at the start of my Lucid I would feel the rain all over my head, shoulders and back.
It would in a way be similar to touching surfaces with my hands but more so, and I wouldn't have to think of it after I start it.
Lastly I'd also hear the rain falling all around me giving me another sense to keep the Lucid stable.
I tried it last night, I was standing in an industrial type landscape and thought ok let's try the rain.
I concentrated on making it rain (I'd never done this or even had a Lucid where it was raining before so didn't know what to expect) and I could hear a very faint sound of fine rain hitting around me but couldn't feel or see it yet.
I held out my hands to cup the rain but it was to fine, so I thought, make it rain harder, and straight away the sound got louder and I could see and feel it landing on my hands and see it all over the road exactly like real life!
I thought again make it rain harder and it really started coming down now and I could feel it all over my head and shoulders and it was getting pretty loud by now also.
I'm laughing as well by now as it feels, looks and sounds so realistic and think one more time, make it a down pour, and the heavens open!
I go about my Lucid and the Dream is completely stable for about another 10 minutes or so and I could see, feel and hear the rain all the way through.
I saw some guy struggling with a Jet Pack so went to talk to him and as I did went into an underpass so couldn't feel the rain anymore, I could only hear it, and it wasn't long after I couldn't feel it any more that I woke from the Lucid.
I felt this worked very well so thought I'd post it on here for others to try.
I often wake feeling like I'm full of energy after Lucid's but after this one I was really buzzing and still am!
