Autosuggestion. In order to wake up without an alarm, you should be able to tell yourself: "I will wake up in the middle of the night" and make it happen. You need to have enough sleep for your mental alarm clock to work correctly. Tell yourself to wake up in the night, or even a specific time, and it should work with great accuracy. Your mind can do a lot more than you think it can. |

“For one priceless moment in the whole history of man, all of the people on this earth are truly one."
"Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you."
By sheer power of will: intensions. You can fall asleep intending to wake up after every dream cycle. Actually you already do wake up after every dream cycle, but usually you just adjust your sleeping position, go back to sleep, and forget that you were even awake. However, it is possible and very doable to change this habit to wake oneself enough after every dream cycle to recall and write down dreams, check the time, and depending on what time it is, choose to get up then and not later. Also people can go to bed with the intension of waking up at 4am, and depending on how good their internal clock is this may be enough to wake one up then or close enough. This method is not as reliable as an alarm clock of course, and it depends on the power of your will, and also there is a risk that you may wake up too much or too often during the night using this method, but it is very doable. |

You may say I'm a dreamer.

Definitely work on willing yourself to wake up as the others said. Failing that, a full bladder will do the trick. Or a vibrating alarm, if you're not sharing your bed with anyone. |

Something I seem to be pretty good at is waking up at a specific time, I just say to myself "I will wake up at [time]" and it works most of the time. |

i you dont want to use the typical alarms, try a light alarm |

Maybe it's too obvious to mention, but why not use a vibrating alarm. I know my phone lets me do this so I guess most do. |

It's a problem I've wanted solved for a number of years myself. An ideal solution would be to have a watch like the watch James Bond has in one of the Bond films: A watch with a tiny lever that pops out and pushes his skin. Nothing like that exists though. Vibration will wake my wife, as will light. Willing yourself to wake up at a certain time works fairly successfully, but sometimes you want to know that you will DEFINITELY wake at a certain time. |

My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.
