      Creating Dream Characters

I imagine its possible to create a dream character so have y'all ever created a copy of yourselves and conversed? I feel like itd be a good way to fish for subconscious information.

I would love to do this, there are things even I don't know about myself, asking my subconscious would help find answers.

While talking to DC's can be a very fun and interesting experience, don't expect to always get profound answers to your questions from them. A lot of the time your sub conscious will just make up a completely irrelavent/absurd answer to a question you may have had. For instance, you may ask what the meaning of life was and all you got in response was "potato". Now I like my mashed potatos as much as the next guy but I really doubt they are the meaning of life. You should also realize that every question you ask is rigged from the start by your expectations. That said, a lot of the time your subconscious will surprise you with an unexpected and deep answer to a question you may have asked.

That's where creating a copy of yourself to talk to seems more productive being that you'd expect good responses from yourself and a lot of lucid dreaming is expectations.

      In theory anyway..

A bit ago, I did accidentally create a dc, then he'd show up in my dreams, I stopped focusing on him, and stopped seeing him pop up in my LDs; personally, I was just so embarrassed about it, and surprised how he'd just show up, like a recording though and a bit "flat". And my other DC's would point him out. o.O

In regards to conversing with oneself, a copy of oneself, or representation of an aspect(or whole) subconscious self, yeah, I didn't have to create it though(as an adult per se), and like TranquilityTrip, responses can be variable from mundane to profound depending on the function/role of the DC-doppleganger-(?).
