      Lightbulb Lucid Dreaming Possibilites?

I've heard about what you can do in lucid dreams, but what is impossible? I've heard of creating music with your subconscious, creating emotion orbs (grab one to feel what is on the orb), and even sharing lucid dreams, but has anyone done any of those? Or have they done other things so crazy and out of this world, they can't even put it into words? So I want this post to have people say what they have or haven't done, and what they want to know is possible or impossible.

I am no musician, but I have created music. I have changed my emotion with just will power. I haven't shared a dream (That I know of) but some claim to have done it.

Some other fun things are losing your body, gaining an extra limb, turning into an animal, splitting your consciousness. I know someone that claims to be able to change how he perceives waking life, can't prove anything, but I believe him.

In what ways does he change how he perceives waking life? Has he explained how he does this?

Yes, it is called clockwork. He says that it is pretty complicated, but it seems like he can go into a dark room and project his mind onto his surroundings and change things. This would be like seeing colors differently, feeling pain instead of pleasure. He also does experiments a lot that are normally weird freaky things. One was to make himself bi and he sort of succeeded at that (sometimes likes men, sometimes women, not both at once ). He is on chat sometimes, his name is Hukif. Oreo can tell you a lot about him too (like when he is usually on, I do not know this).

Wow this is definitely being added to my to-do list to be tackled when I am grounded with lucid dreaming! I never thought about being able to tweek so much under the hood.

Well, one of his main points (I think) was that you should look for something that "makes sense" to you. He never just 'does' something. He always changes things in a way that fit with how he does things. Like flying, he doesn't just "fly'' he has a few different ways to do it, one involves light and i forget the others. Also when flying he has to change the composition of his body so that when going too fast he doesn't die and when too high, he doesn't die. etc. I have something in my mind that will work like clockwork, but it is going to be called SubC# and it involves programing. I am not actually a programer, but the programing language makes sense to me.

      Everything is possible in dream!
Limits only exists if you expect them to exists, consciously or subconsciously, or make them by yourself.

I use lucid dreaming to perform experiments to determine the nature of human experience and then apply what I learn there to affect change in my waking life. For one, I have, practically beat anxiety. I'm now currently exploring possible depression treatments. The relevant thread to how I did this can be found here: http://www.dreamviews.com/general-lu...ml#post2050589

Actually, try to imagine a new colour. No, not another cheap shade of brown/red/whatever you will. A completely new colour. Imagine being a mantis shrimp. The mantis shrimp has 16 colour-receptive cones. Now try seeing a colour unknown to human. That's right. You can't.

      Everything has limitations, baby.

Baradrim, I know plenty of LDers that have seen a new color, I don't know why you would say that you couldn't. Maybe you need better control of your lucids?

Like many said there are almost no limitations (if any!) and if you BELIEVE it can happen, the it WILL happen but if you believe that it can't then well, it can't. It's up to you to make your limitations. I have done some weird stuff in my dreams, like sometimes it feels like im in two places it at once, or sometimes i dont know what character i am in my dream (ex. i dont know if im like an observer, 3rd person, 1st person, etc.). But yea just believe that there isn't any limitations and suddenly, there is none.

I've seen new colors beyond the range of human perception. I can see one just by closing my eyes. Purple and green blobs of light combine to form a purple-green color. It's not a mix of the two, which would be brown. In some of my lucids I've seen even more colors. Something I describe as gossamer silver is but one such color, and even that description falls short. It's like trying to explain red to someone born blind. We don't have the words nor do we share enough experiences to convey these cconcepts.

There are no limits. They're illusion. It does, however, help to use logic and rationalization to trick the mind into surpassing these illusory limitations.
