from hypnagogic hallucinations to lucid dreaming?

I just had some crazy HI and didn't really know how to transition to LD from there. At first, i was focusing my eyes on the images but i stopped straining my eyes trying too hard to focus because i felt like it was breaking my lucid state and would've woke up, and also my heart rate was increasing. I decided to chill out and let it be. The images were a little blurry and out of focus once i stopped concentrating so hard and I barely made them out. It felt like a lifetime of ever-changing images and i could not transition well. I remember dreaming but it was from a third person POV and I had no dream body. I tried some absurdly stupid junk like physically propelling my body into the dream, but it never worked and i almost woke myself up. I can't remember what happened from there, maybe I just gave up and lost lucidity. Did i merely need to wish for a dream body? was this just a matter of dream control? How do I create a dream body? Where did I go wrong (besides giving up and losing lucidity) ?

You didn't do anything wrong. Transitioning into a LD from images was something that took me a while to figure out. All tutorials were saying - "and then just enter the dream". But they didn't say how.

So i tried wishing/seeing myself inside of it, and it worked. I look at the dream, find a nice place and think "I am there". At that moment I feel myself moving towards that point and when I touch down, my environment changes to 3D and I'm inside of a LD. Don't wish to be there. Know, that you are there already.

You can also try to simpy stand up from your bed when you see strong/developed HH. You may be already in a dream.
