Simple in concept, but sometimes hard in execution. What do you guys do to keep the intention of reality checking fresh in your mind throughout the day? With work and other things throughout life, it's easy to forget and go a while before you perform your set of RC's.
For example, I've heard some people say to develop the habit of doing an RC everytime you go through a doorway. How do you guys go about developing this habit? When trying this out, I'll often remember long after I've gone through several doorways and then be disappointed I've let myself slip so many times haha.
I wonder if like wearing a bracelet or unique piece of clothing that you normally don't wear could help you link that to the need to do an RC. Thoughts?
I don't use RC's as a means of becoming lucid but instead use them as a second layer of confirmation that I am dreaming after attaining lucidity, so I may not be the most knowledgeable on the subject. However, I think that just by realizing you are forgetting to do your reality checks throughout the day is a big step in the right direction. I think as you continue to practice your rc's and keep them on your mind, you'll see some major progress. Don't be discouraged that you aren't doing them on time, be joyous in the fact that your brain is remembering to do them at all. Especially if it's daily or hourly.
P.S. As you become better in your reality checking, make sure you don't start doing them like clockwork, otherwise they'll start to lose their effectiveness.
Hopefully that makes some kind of sense.
