Been trying to LD for months, always falling asleep or starting to panic during SP

      Hello,
I've been trying to obtain an LD for months (usually WILD or WBTB), but I always fall asleep..

I've been trying to count my breath, heartbeat, solve math (usually matrix, since it takes a lot of time), but the problem is - I regularly lose concentration due to ADD. I have never ever in my life counted my breath over 35, since I lose concentration and my mind just rockets thru random thoughts, till one moment when I realize I should be counting.. And so it goes over and over again in circles, till I fall asleep..

Another problem: I get random sleep paralyses time by time, but I always start to panic and wake up after 20 seconds. When I wake up, im mad at myself, thinking why did I even start to panic and so on (I've had over 50 (I dont count anymore) sleep paralysis and I still unwillingly start to panic, since it feels super weird, a lot of weird sounds and can't move). Is there any way to avoid panic and maintain peace?

One thing I've realized, marijuana temporary treats my ADD symptoms and I have no difficulties maintaining concentration and thoughts, but I never remember my dreams after smoke session..

Have you tired MILD and are you doing RCs? I believe WILD is somewhat more advanced. WBTB is also helpful with MILD too.

I agree with whatsnext how abo7t you try a different method from wild. Mild is a common method to have dilds and there are many other ways to acheive lucidity on this site including fild (finger induced lucid dream). And a very successful method called ssild. Or deilds are another option. There are soo many methods to become lucid you just have to find one to start with that fits you. Good luck!

Thank you for advice, I will try other methods too, will try SSILD first, but I will also maintain trying WILD, since i've heard WILD's have the most vivid lucid dreams with biggest chance of obtaining full dream control.. Is this true?

I Don't know about biggest chance of obtaining one it depends a lot on the person. Some will have more success with other techniques when they start but if you get the wild technique down it is a very consistent way of ld'ing but some people would say deild'ing is easier (deilds come natural to me). But if you master wild'ing you could do it any night you want. Also if you want to get better at the wild technique, meditating daily is extremely helpful. And for most vivid from what I understand if you learn how to stabilize dreams (not hard to do) they will be just as vivid as a wild. But I'm working on making my non lucid dreams more vivid right now. And in case you didn’t see there are 2 extremely helpful ssild threads on this site. Again good luck!
