Most of my lucid dreams start by me dreaming that I'm lying in bed and experiencing SP/HH type effects. When this happens I instantly recognize that I'm dreaming. However, then I am often attacked by an invisible force/man/monster while still in bed.

This morning I had two such LD's: I was dreaming that I was trying to induce an LD through WILD. I felt all kinds of energy waves going through my body until I was suddenly paralyzed. I had my eyes closed and was waiting for images to form and I also tried wishing myself in my town square. Instead, there was suddenly a man next to me holding me tightly and trying to molest me while laughing. I struggled with him and had a false awakening. I immediately tried to induce a new LD. The same thing happened, except now it was a badly smelling zombie in bed with me trying to bite me.

I have several ways to escape from these types of attack: by focussing on the walls and trying to create a falling/flying sensation (I still feel the attacks while doing this but they decrease as the rooms/outdoors I'm falling/flying through become more vivid), or closing my eyes and waiting for images to form (a few light dots are enough to transport me into a landscape under a nightsky, or in space etc). I also tried verbal commands for the first time tonight but it didn't work.

I can think of two things I can try:
1 trying to simply walk out of the bed (really obvious maybe but I'm usually too busy fending off my attacker)
2 doing reality checks in bed, since so many of my dreams (lucid or not) start with me lying in bed
But I wonder if anyone has any other suggestions or insights on how to deal with this?
