      Thumbs up A Fun Topic

Hey guys. I'm wondering if you've ever given someone a lucid dream on their first try. I don't exactly mean "Given" but i mean i'm wondering if you've ever told someone a technique and they've managed to do it on their first try. I've done this with about 6 people now, and they all love it. One of my teachers is currently really into the WILD technique. She says she has wonderful lucid dreams about swimming and stuff like that. She did have it kind of easy, because she used to work night shifts alot and her mind got quite adapted to waking up at such a time. So, how about you guys? You ever had someone experience lucid dreaming in some sort of way?

I don't have a person that became a lucid dreamer because of me but i taught my grandmother to become lucid to stop a recurrent nightmare. She told me that she always dreamt of her old butler chasing her in the forest to kill her. He's dead a long time ago. So i said her next time it happens, she will know that she's dreaming and stop running. And so she did. Her butler was chasing her, she ran but then she became lucid. She stopped, looked at him... he stopped also and left the scene. Never had that nightmare again.
Now i'm giving tips to my mother and a friend.

It's possible that I have sort of given my friend and roommate some lucid dreams, because I don't think he had much experience in that before and lately I have constantly been talking about it, and he seems to have them more and more often nowadays and actually seems genuinely fascinated by them.

      I would, but I really "can't".

I sit back and wait to see what people turn out to be.

If they have the qualities of a lucid dreamer, I introduce them to it.

So far, no such luck. Everyone either gives up or loses interest.

      It's a shame, really.
Even more so when one person had extremely good recall. She has photographic memory, so I saw her as fortunate. She wasn't interested in lucid dreaming, only about messages her subconscious was trying to send her.

I shake my head at all those failed students.....

Maybe taking lucid dreaming up as a hobby will help him break out of the depression! (If this is the same guy ...)

So ... is this the real universe, or is it just a preliminary study?

I told my daughter about LDs and she had one in a few days w/of trying. And she had a long one. She said she was outside a store and wanted to try stealing something, but wasn't 100% sure it was just a dream as it was so real!
