      Early schedule for LD?

I was wondering, does the time you wake up at affect your LD ability? Like if you woke up at 11 am vs 7 am, for example, would the early hour make any difference?

I think the number of hours you sleep would be a bigger factor. If you wake up at 11 am, but only got 6 hours of quality sleep it would have a negative impact. If you woke up at 5 am and got 9 hours of good sleep it could have a positive impact.

My issues is, during the work week, I get between 6.5 and 7.5 hrs of sleep.

Longer sleep is better. That's because the REM cycles (in which we do most of the dreaming), start out only 10 min long after about 80 min long NREM, but as we sleep, NREM gets shorter and REM longer. So after about 7-8 hrs of sleep, we have a very long REM, so there is better chance of becoming lucid, since we have more time and longer dreams. Happy dreams
