      ADA during consuming tasks?

I recently have been getting into ADA I don't have much of a problem with it when I'm not doing anything, but as soon as I start doing something that requires some focus, the awareness just sort of slips away. Anyone have any suggestions on how to remedy this?

I might not have much advice because I just started too and I've been struggling with the same thing, but I have noticed since doing it for the past week each day is getting easier and easier to keep awareness up. When just walking or sitting around it's easy to focus only on awareness of the surroundings but when talking with someone or focusing on something that needs attention it is more difficult. For the past couple days though I have noticed in those particular instances, occasionally it will suddenly click and I remember to be aware. It's not all the time but definitely becoming more frequent, I feel like after a while of practicing it diligently though it will become more common than not. I'd say just keep at it and practice when you are reminded to, and eventually it will get easier to be aware in more distracting situations.

What Fuzzman said. And if the task is really important, like homework for example, then you can take a break from ADA and get back to it later. If you still want to do some awareness practise during that time, you could throw in a couple of RCs!

Yes work is the challenge as my work requires mental focus & concentration for long periods of time. But I intend to try to find some way to work in the awareness somehow. Right now I just take stretch breaks every 20 minutes with a smartphone app alarm where I do a Sageous RRC and recite a few "I'm dreaming!"s. However I'm pretty good now about keeping ADA/RC going all the time when just walking around (not working).

First of all, thanks for the replies! I have definitely been noticing the same thing. I will be doing something (like right now) and the thought will come to me and all of a sudden I'm aware. I think sticking with it will eventually solve this for sure.
