Well I saw the thread and their seems to be a TOTALLY different mindset from hummer since the first posts.

Let me just answer you, we know their's no consuquences because they just don't happen. Simple as that.
Two, inception is not evil. Oh gawd, come on. .-.
Three, lucidity is a way to deal with stress, to discover more about yourself, or to have fun.

I want to do all three, but really Lucid Dreaming is not evil.
Its your subconscious reward for..well..being human.
Just how unconsciousness's reward for being human is pain, thoughts, imagination, conciousness.

So, this means, your consciousness is just a reward from both.

This makes me so mad, every single human being should be grateful they have a brain. All they do is pay attention to their consciousness and be ignorant.

So be grateful that Lucid Dreaming is in every humans capability.

      Think about it, your lucky.

Four days ago I had a lucid dream where I witnessed the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen in my entire life. Then I swam in the ocean. I recorded this dream in my dream journal and can go back and read it, and recapture a bit of that joy each time. Isn't simply adding joy to ones life enough of a reason for achieving lucidity?
That... That.. That was beautiful Q__Q

I need to copy and paste that somewhere, so I can refer to it whenever someone comes to me for advice about lucid dreaming in Waking Life.

Don't think I said lucidity was evil or anything like it. I did and am saying that I think it can or could be used, by the unscrupulous, in evil ways.

I think Inception demonstrates such unscrupulous uses of a kind of lucidity.

In general I think lucidity a good thing, positive advance. etc., though it is ancient.

In some of my first posts, perhaps what you are referring to, I said lucidity could be used, could be used to avoid certain difficult situations as in The Matrix when Cypher uses it in a such a fashion -- not that The Matrix is about dreaming, mind you, it's not, it's about computers.

      That's another story.

You cite a post from somewhere, not, I don't think to this thread, that Tygar mentioned a dream in which she was swimming at sunset in some body of water. You use this as an example of the absolute value of "lucid dreaming."

Okay, in this form of LD various forms of dream inquiry are dropped because it is supposedly 'lucid."

Here are some questions I would ask Tygar about this dream:

Why a sunset? Is this place where you see this sunset something in your normal or real landscape? Why is it evening? Why are you swimming?

What body of water is this? Do you know what body of water this is?

Aphrodite is beautiful, she rises from the sea foam, but what she rises from is NOT beautiful. Is that connection possible here?

These are among the questions I would have about this dream. Lucidity does not banish them.
