      Two questions about dreams.

I had two dreams last night I remember and I became aware in both of them. That's the first time i have been aware in my dreams. I have been doing a lot of RCs and ADA sessions. In the first dream when I became aware, I tried to move my hands and I moved them in real life. In the second I was successful in moving my hands and tried to fly, but I could feel my real life body touching the bed so I opened my eyes.

      1. Do we feel our real life bodys' touching the surface we are sleeping on when we are sleeping. When we become aware that we're dreaming, are we also aware in the real life?
      2. In both the dreams, I was seeing my self in third person. And I think that is the reason I couldn't move my hands in the first dream. Is it normal to view dreams from third person?

Can't say I've experienced the first one, except when I'm starting to wake up, you know that falling feeling?

Your second point is completely normal. I've had dreams in first and third person. Sometimes in third person I'm not even watching myself and once in first person I was a completely different person, and of opposite sex even!

Being aware in dreams is a big step in the right direction, keep it up!

So does being aware in dreams make it lucid? Should I mark it in my dream journal because I have not right now.

Becoming aware while dreaming doesn't involve feeling the real world, it mostly happens when you don't have enough control to continue being lucid. It always happens to me when I start to lose lucidity, so I start to feel my real body laying on bed until I wake up.

Regarding your second question, I've never experienced third person view while lucid, but it has happened to me in normal dreams. Maybe it is just a coincidence. Next time it happens to you try to concentrate to 'regain' your body.
I like destruction and reality, and one invariably leads to the other.

I find it very difficult to maintain awareness of my physical body and any other body at the same time. That being said, I can sometimes go back and forth between them, but if I try and "hang on" to both, both realities tend to dim. I consider this more of my personal limitation rather than "the way of things" though.

For your second question, I've had third person dreams before and I've considered that it might be from playing video games in third person so we are used to seeing a virtual world that way, so that translates into our dreams. It could also be from movies too if you don't play games. I've had top-down dreams as well that seemed similar to some games I've played that are like that.

As far as third person lucid dreams, I was talking to my friends about that last week. Or the week before... Or before that...

Anyways, I suggested that it is a point when you are so unaware, that you don't even realize that it's you.
I think I was talking non-sense, but I still think it's a possibility. Third-person dreams are still very rare for me, and I can't even go into third-person in a lucid dream.

Also, Fuzzman's suggestion could also hold true. I've been playing a lot of Planetside 2 lately, like an unhealthy amount, but my dreams are still in first-person. I'll tell you though, shooting Vanu weapons in a dream is really fun. So fun. Fun.

      yes and yes.
when i notice that i am aware of the sensation of my body in the bed. I try to focus on something else - try looking at your hands, look around the dream, do something else, stop paying attention the feeling of being in your bed and focus on where the dream is leading you.
I have had tons of dreams from the third person. Its totally normal. almost like watching a movie or something.
