Weird lucid dreaming experience. What do you think?

Ok, so I've been pretty busy with graduation, getting a job, school, and pretty much starting my life lol. I've taken a little break from practicing lucid dreaming, but ready to start back up since everything's starting to calm down now. But anyways, I just wanted some feedback on this because I sort of had a lucid last night and I'll explain the "sort of" part right now ha ha.

I was in bed playing with my phone, about 20 minutes after I woke up when I started remembering some dreams I had the previous night. One part of the dream suddenly struck me, and I had realized that I had became lucid for part of that dream. I was on a ride at Disney with one of my friends when all of a sudden it had just stopped working. I told her let's get out and find an exit, and she agreed. Before we knew it, we ran into some trouble. Some crazy ass lady warrior thing (reminded me of something out of mortal kombat) swooped out from the ceiling and was about to strike me with her bow. My friend told me to not get involved with her and just run. Then I tell her that this is just a dream , but I never got the full realization. That's the part that's "kind of" and I know, I wasn't aware of what I had just said to some extent, but this led to some awesome dream control. She tried firing several arrows at me but I had just dodged them right when they were about to hit me, grab em, and flung it back at her, always a direct hit. She bombarded me with the arrows now and I started doing all these flips and tricks and I grabbed my friend in the process of doing all of these gymnastics lmao, and so when I had grabbed her to escape we jumped off this ledge to a lower part of the ride.

That's all I remember from my short lucid adventure, but I never really got that "Aha!" moment in which I fully realized that I WAS dreaming. But at the same time, some part of me knew that I was in fact dreaming, and that I was conscious of all the actions that I was doing that I wouldn't normally do in real life. In short: Lucid dream or nah? lmao. I personally think so since I've had similar dreams but I was COMPLETELY oblivious. This one had some consciousness. I wanna what other people think though.

The only requirement for a dream to be called lucid is for the dreamer to reallize he is dreaming, while in the dream.

The levels of awareness may be different though, from barely to fully. And you can have control, even some awareness, but still not be lucid. Like you are on the verge of realizing, but it never comes.

There doesn't need to be an "aha" moment. Although I did get it for a very long time in every one of them. But later, after maybe over 100 lds, the "aha" moment has sometimes become a "oh, finally" moment, without the huge excitement. But the realization is always there, just not alwas as intense as it used to be.

No matter if lucid or not, or what I think. If you believe it was lucid, then by all means, congrats. It sounds like a great experience no matter what we call it. Happy dreams.

Sounds to me like you were half way there. since the definition of lucidity is being completely comprehensible. Really interesting though and i worry all the time that i will half only a half sort of experience, SO CLOSE. Either way it sounds very interesting and exciting. Try to become fully aware next time!
