I don't think it was a lucid dream |
When I was very young, I woke up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. When I was walking back to my room, I felt strange feelings that seemed almost physical, like my mind was trapped in an eerie labyrinth. I could feel feelings that I had never experienced before. It was like I was an older, different person. I looked at my hands and it was pretty frightening. The longer I stared, the longer my fingers grew. They looked like an old person’s hands and had wrinkles. Then they shrunk and kept changing sizes. Everything felt real, yet kind of fuzzy. I remember myself getting back into bed. |

I'm back! Again? Uhhh..
Hmm, maybe. Does that definition of LD still apply if you are so young and know nothing of LDs? I hear that this type of dreaming is easier for kids to have, so is there a chance of them not understanding that they are awake? |

LD means lucid dream- dream in which you know you are dreaming. It doesn't matter whether you know or not about LD... |

Thanks everyone. |

I have a similar question. I notice lately that when I'm sleeping or about to sleep, that I'm able to control my "dream". But it seems more like a daydream than a real dream. It seems more like my imagination than a dream. |
That's happened to me recently, too. I feel like I'm falling asleep and daydreaming but I don't know where it came from and I'm very aware of my real body. Is it like that with you? |
It lacks the emotion and realness that a dream has. It's like a dream but its more like imagination. |
I wonder if it's a low level LD. |
Could be, I don't think I've ever had a LD. |
Hmmm, I've had something similar before. |

Wow, how interesting. Why the cold air rushing down your throat, though? Is that from breathing? |
It's cause when I get lucid I still doubt the fact that it could be a dream, so I do a nose-plug test. In that test you focus on the air that you breath, if you can breath it means you're in a dream, so when I think I'm in a dream I pay EXTREME attention to my breathing. In a dream this attention causes the feeling of air to be very sensitive. |

Sounds to me just like a nightmare. |
