      Wink Incredible First Lucid Dream!

I just had my first lucid dream last night. The dream felt like it went for about 1 hour and during I went from having my first kiss to fighting the little dogs from Avatar! I'm simply in awe about the whole situation although I feel that my dream recall has been affected somewhat because I had an extremely emotional false awakening, although what I do remember is in very good detail, it's more the transition and order of events throughout the dream. I followed the tips from guides and videos I watched and didn't do anything too extreme and spent time stabilising the dream, which is why I think it went for so long. I would tell the whole thing but I just wrote 4 whole pages of what I could recall in my dream journaland am not prepared to write that much again, .

I'm so amazed by the whole thing and would love it if you could share your first lucid dream experience! Thanks in advance!

False awakenings usually come after a lucid dream and more especially, from the most powerful ones... Make sure that before writing your dream down, you do a reality check because you might find yourself in another dream... make sure this is something that you do every time you write down a dream, every single time. This will dramatically decreased your false awakenings and/or you will become lucid from them.

It is very dangerous for dream recall to have a false awakening where you write down the dream and then find yourself laying happily in your bed thinking "nice, I wrote that dream down" when you never really did it, lol.

I almost lost my 500th dream entry in this forum because of that.

      And welcome to dreamviews

I wasn't really in the place to write down after my false awakening. I was sobbing and kinda let my emotions loose.. I definitely made sure that I did a RC after I actually woke up and definitely will always do them after waking in the future. Thank you!

Yeah, it is not always the case, but it happens than when you stress yourself in writing down your dreams, after a long one (lucid or non lucid) you can dream you write it down and get fooled by that, so do that as a practice hehe.

I just had my first lucid dream last night too! It wasn't as good as yours. All I did was get through a false awakening and go onto my deck to fly, only to realize it was dark and I couldn't fly, and then lose the LD.
