      Hi,

Congrats on your first lucid dream
In fact don't worry if it took you a long time to start doing reality checks in dreams,
It takes some time for them to appear as they need to become mindful habit.
I guess since you started to do them in dreams they will be becoming more regular now

When you become lucid your disrupting a balance to which dreams were used (Aka no lucidity, dull thinking etc.)
This results in moving your consciousness closer to wakingness due to being slightly more conscious than usually in dream
And after some time you will eventually wake up because of that (Unless you prevent this from happening).

To prevent this stuff from happening there are fancy 'Dream Stabilization' techniques out there
I'il give you link to some nice threads with them at end of my post.
And now, i'il give you a few advices:
      - Stay Calm
      - Don't fear of waking up, be confident that you will be stay for long time in there
      - Perform Stabilization Technique as soon as you become lucid aswell as when dream starts to collapse (If your dream collapses without any signs then you might try to strenghten stabilization at first becoming lucid or just do stabilization regulary while being in dream?)

Don't stress too much about losing lucidity, waking up or destabilizing dream.
Even if dream destabilizes and you wake up as long as you stay in the rem sleep you can continue it (Assuming you didn't become lucid at end of rem cycle and it ended on it's own?)
It's called DEILD Technique, when waking up from unnaturaly ended dream remain motionless, relaxed and keep your eyes closed.
You can visualize dream scene if you want or just lie still.
Soon you might be back into dream.

Also if your going to go with learning to DEILD (Dream Chain) lucid dreams then you should read up this thread aswell:

You might experience REM Atonia (mistaken for sleep paralysis and also called that) when using Dream Chaining, yet worry not from experience i can say that it is quite cool experience

      And now fellow dreamer
Goodluck with your further lucid dreams
