      I have a few questions.

      So, in my lucid dream last night I had met my subconscious in the form of a little boy. I was hanging around with him as he was making my dream more lucid. In the dream I had also given him a name. (Name being 'Tom'). But in all actuality I'm not sure if this was okay. Is it? I did it so whenever I had a lucid dream I could call out his name.

      Everything in your dream is your "subconscious". Things help you become lucid. Some people have "Dream Guides", dream characters that help guide you throughout your dreams. This is not some spiritual/astral character that enters your dream (at least probably not, people do believe in such stuff), it it most likely a manifestation of your wish to become lucid, or just a random DC whose actions helped make you lucid or whatever.

      It is completely normal to have an experience like this. If it helps you become lucid, pursue it.
