      Would this be considered semi-lucid?

So last night I had a dream where I was dreaming about being lucid... so I was enjoying flying around talking with a friend about "how awesome it is we are lucid right now" but with nowhere near the clarity, awareness, control and realism I have experienced in other lucid dreams. It was more like I was watching myself being lucid whist having no real control myself... Would this be considered semi lucid?

Yes, you could call it semi-lucid, low level lucid or a Layer Zero lucid (here is a similar thread and question where post no #5 has a link for videos describing the layers of lucidity.
I had exactly the same thing happen yesterday -> post #37
"...what we experience is our model of reality, not reality itself. Perception is dreaming constrained by sensory input. So it’s a constrained dream, whereas dreaming is perception free of constraint. What exactly is the difference experientially between the dream and waking state? And you see, it’s the same stuff. It’s all illusion! "Stephen LaBerge

Thanks for that, reading the description of what happened to you sounds exactly like what happened to me. Really clears it up for me thanks!
