Thread: Is it possible to have actual conversations and relationships with Dream Characters?

I'm just wondering, mostly due to the fact that I don't have many friends and that I'm still learning how to [I]really[I] control my dreams. A few people say that DC's are stupid, robotic, and such. If that's true is there anyway to remedy that? Thanks a lot!

I have had many relationships with DCs, but then you must understand that I believe these were actual entities on another plane of existance. I have spent what seemed like an hour sitting around laughing and talking, but upon waking can not remember what we talked about other than general ideas. I have been invited to dinner, and invited to take part in elaborate games. I can not tell you to believe in entities you may dream of, but I can tell you that what you are asking about is possible.

Things that exist indipendently from the dream, and have a true sense of self, as oppessed to something you make up.

The experience can feel as real as if it were waking life, even though it is most likely not a real person.

I feel it depends on my level of lucidity. I've taken my wife on "dream dates," but reflecting, I mistook her for her real self in the dream, and so our conversations seemed to make sense. I have also had dreams with her where I was more aware of the dream, and she behaved similar to other DCs. On the whole, most DCS I've encountered have behaved oddly or otherwise been unrealistic. Most of this has to do with their conversation being incomprehensible or otherwise "off" in some way.
