Exclamation HeLP!! I'm basically TAP-DANCING on the edge of lucidity and am not too sure how to fully cross over

So, I've been trying to become lose it for about three weeks to a month and a half now. I've been trying to be really aware and do sincere reality checks. My dream recall has increased significantly compared to what it used to be before (No dream recalls at all/1 if I'm lucky). However, I feel like some of the dreams that I've been having recently I've actually pretty much looked lucidity dead in its face, but didn't take a hold of it. Can someone please tell me what I should do in order to take that small step to actually gain lucidity in my dreams? I would greatly appreciate it.

Here are examples of what I'm talking about:

      Example 1
-I'm brushing my teeth in the bathroom and looking at my mirror. My reflection seems crystal clear, but, for some reason, I have blue earrings on. (Background info: In real life, I don't have my ears pierced, nor do I care to wear earings.) I stop brushing my teeth and examined my earings in the mirror. I say, "Hmm. That's weird. I wonder where these earrings came from. "And, I just shrugged my shoulders and said, "Ah well." And then continued to brush my teeth.

      Example 2
      - i'm sitting in the auditorium of my high school and my brother is sitting next to me on the left. (Background info: I'm in my third year of college aka out of highschool. Although my bro and I went to the same highschool, because he is four years older than me, by the time he finished with high school I just got in.) I then turned to my brother while smiling and very hype and say,"Omg! I dreamt this before!" thinking that it was my dream coming to reality and not realizing that it was my dream as an actual dream.

      Example 3
-I am walking alongside my brother and what seems to be a boot camp in which they are putting us through horrible exercises. Then, I say to my brother,"Man! This sucks. Too bad it's reality. " and then continue in the dream un-lucidly.

I feel like I'm SO CLOSE! Can someone PLEASE tell me what I need to do in order to make that final step to obtain lucidity??

      Please and thank you.

Imagine those dreams (and more) again, only with you doing a reality check and becoming lucid. Do this as often as you feel you need to in order to be prepared. Think of it as rehearsing for the dream world! That way, when the time comes, you remember what to do.

What dolphin said, and just keep doing what you've been doing! Your mind is getting accustomed to operating in lucid (or near lucid) mode, and this is a sign that lucidity itself is really close. So stay excited, and be patient, the LDs are on their way!
