      Pranking a lucid dreamer

      I just had a thought...
Pranking a lucid dreamer with something unrealistic or generally something that couldnīt happen in real life would be pretty funny. Imagine them assuming they are dreaming, and then realizing they have all five fingers and freaking out~
Has anyone ever tried this =)

(Hopefully this is in the right place, I wasnīt sure where this thread should go)

Not sure what you mean exactly, do you mean making them believe them that they are dreaming by showing them something near impossible?

Most likely won't work on an experienced lucid dreamer.

That would be pretty funny, good idea Is it just me or do you guys ask yourselves if you're dreaming a few times a day freaking out? (not talking about reality checks)

You can get a bunch of people over 40 years old in neat suits with serious or dignified looks on their faces, and then they suddenly take off their pants and start doing Silly Walks.

Or do something like this Trigger Happy animal suit

An experienced lucid dreamer will probably be quicker to do a reality check, but she will probably be quicker to realise it's a prank. It will probably be more difficult to make a beginning lucid dreamer doubt whether she is in bed or not, but once she is not sure anymore, she will probably have a harder time convincing herself that some people are being rather silly

figurefly, no, I never do that..

I tend to have all of my fingers and my hands look crystal clear in both physical and dream realities. So, me seeing my hands and all of my fingers after a strange event wouldn't really have me freak out. But, for other people, I assume that they might try to do something stupid or dangerous. It could be really funny or really tragic.

Haha, this actually happened in an episode of American Dad. Steve took up lucid dreaming as a hobby, and his dream sign was a red ball.

His sister threw a red ball past him to make him think he was dreaming, and then proceeded to do a bunch of silly stuff to make sure he really thought it was a dream. It, um... didn't turn out so good Steve burst into the school, kissed the girl he liked, and then jumped out the window with her to fly. They got hurt pretty bad.

      Here's one example:
I saw a prank where someone put up a projector screen and projected a ghost screaming to scare their friend in the middle of the night. So the person woke up, saw the ghost, and of course got scared.
If you tried to pull this on a lucid dreamer, they would assume they are dreaming, do a reality check, then realize they can't be dreaming and get scared. Sorry if my explanation isn't the best, it's kind of complicated

would love to hear something I could actually manage with my friend to freak him out. There are some people who are great at making magic tricks/illusions. Would be cool if you could convincingly make your finger dissapear for long enough to make it look like youve RC'd and decided that your mate is just a dream character. then question them as you would a DC. They'd prob not fully go with it, and RC themselves, but if could still weird them out a bit.
