(Sorry we missed September, guys. Much like Green Day, we were asleep and just woke up when September ended. Also, we didn’t have enough applicants for the month, so there’s that.)
Good October morning/evening to you, folks! The smell of Pumpkin Spice is in the air, and Halloween is just around the corner. I’m pretty excited for Halloween. In fact, I’m so excited for Halloween that I snuck in a jump-scare somewhere in this post. You might do a quick scan of it and not see it, but trust me, it’s there. And it’ll jump out to surprise you when you least expect it. Or maybe it won’t. Anticipation is 90% of Halloween. The other 10% is candy. Sweet delicious candy.
Speaking of sweet, here’s this month’s sweet buddy pairings, in no particular order:
But these people are just names. For all you know, they could be zombies. Or ghosts. Or zombie ghosts. So you should probably ask these questions to make sure they’re human. Oh, and you should answer them too, to prove that you’re human. Because that would be awkward if you weren’t, but also kind of impressive, as your command of the English language is quite impeccable for a monster.
- What was your favorite dream ever? How about your worst nightmare?
- What was the earliest dream you remember?
- What are some of your current dream goals?
- What’s your favorite candy?
- Coke or Pepsi (or Water)?
- What was your best Halloween costume?
- If you could only wear one color for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
- Based on something you’ve already done, how might you make it into the Guinness Book of World Records?
- And finally, complete this sentence: The world would be a much better place if everyone just…
Celebrate Halloween with a tall glass of Coke, which fits conveniently in the cup holder of your Iron Man suit, helpful in case you decide to break your previous record of toe stubbings in an hour. And while you’re at it, take on these additional tasks, they’re a graveyard smash. Post your successes and failures in this thread, and (of course) share them with your buddies:
Beginner
- Report your dreams each night to your buddy, even if you only remember small fragments (just the action of doing this can help improve your recall).
- Have your buddy appear in a dream of yours.
Intermediate
- Report at least one dream per night to your buddy.
- Summon your buddy in a lucid.
- Eat a ton of Trick or Treat candy with your buddy.
Expert
- Report at least two dreams per night to your buddy.
- Have a costume competition with your buddy. Or better yet, cooperate on a single costume.
- Become a ghost and haunt your buddy.
Oh, and if you’ve made it this far, you might as well copy and paste this code into your signature. Actually, you definitely should. Because if you don’t, the boogeyman will appear in your dreams tonight. But hopefully you’ll realize you’re dreaming and be like “nah bro, I ain’t about that life” and be on your merry way. But just in case, put this in your signature:
