I made my account specifically to try and answer your question. The absolute best way to achieve a lucid dream IMO is to set your alarm for around 5 to 6 hours into your sleep cycle meaning as soon as you fall asleep try to wake up 5 to 6 hours into your you sleep. Once your alarm wakes you up chill for a few minutes in your bed then fall back asleep I guarantee you will have a vivd ass dream. Im sure there is some term for this strategy, Sometimes it happens on accident with me because I have insomnia. This is the best way for me but then again I've been experimenting with lucid dreaming for quite some time I find it more of a hobby. The other way I find to be some what successful is to just take a nap sometimes you can have some crazy life like dreams. If worst comes to worst and you just cant have one you can alway enjoy vivid dreams without being lucid they are almost just as interesting, take 10 to 20mg of melatonin and you'll have a CRAZY and I mean CRAZY dream but its still not gonna be lucid. Try my first suggestion a few times and eventually you'll have one promise.
