Hey guys,
In the past couple of months, I've had three LD's on about a 3-week interval. Every time I became lucid it was simply due to noticing the general "feel" of the dream or noticing something off.
Anyway, in terms of what I'd like to experience in an ideal lucid: I'd like to have full control of my actions, be able to be present in a dream in the same way as in reality (being able to feel all senses at once), and potentially have control over the situation. I've had a couple of dreams like this in my distant past, but lately, one or more of these criteria is never met.
In essence, in the past few lucids I've had, I stabilize the dream and then try to do things that I'd like to. However, it seems that every time I get to this stage, my brain is in a sort of "dream fog", where I just feel incredibly drowsy and unable to focus on much of anything, including the dream and dream goals. I realize that control comes with practice, but this fatigue issue has been rather irritating and demotivating.
Here are my "symptoms":
- General inability to focus: I can't recall dream goals or much of anything.
- Inability to move properly: Most of the time, I end up teleporting or just floating over to where I want to be, which isn't really exciting.
- Very constricted time. I've been able to have only 5-10 second lucids these past few times.
- Being stuck in a kind of vegetative state where I can only see what's directly in front of me, unable to move or do anything.
Do any of you know a way around any of this? Is it a matter of sleep deprivation? Is there some stabilization technique to check out? I'd love to experience LD's to their fullest, but it's really hard to when I can't think or move.
Thanks,
Jelly
