Lucid? Semi-lucid or just a FA?

I woke up in the middle of the night after a long vivid dream. Jotted down and turned over to sleep.

Bearing in mind I've never had a lucid before, this was quite interesting for me:

I wake up again and look to my left, noticing my bed side table has moved significantly. I RC with my hands and realise I'm dreaming. I get out of bed-but it doesn't feel as realistic as I've heard it can be.

I rub my hands and the dream becomes brighter and the colours correct themselves. My mum is on the landing so I say hi.
We have a weird brief conversation for 10 seconds. It was odd because she was twitching (like she had a glitch).

Then the scene changed to somewhere snowy and I'm playing bat and ball with someone I don't like iwl.

After a few seconds, I'm awake again due to the family getting up.

It just didn't seem what I expected becoming Lucid to be like. It was good nonetheless! But by the snowy scape, I think I lost lucidity. It was very short all of it.

      Hey MadZ!

Well good news, that was a lucid dream. To define a dream as lucid, you simply have to be aware, while you are in the dream, that you are dreaming. It doesn't matter if the control, or vividness was perfect, or if the scenes changed or even if you forgot later on in the dream that you were dreaming. The more controlled, elongated and vivid lucid dreams will come with time. The point is, you got there and so incredibly congratulations!
