Felt like I had lucidity last night but no images or sounds?

So last night I fell asleep during meditation, was quite blissful realy, repeating mantras like: "I will remember my dreams" and "I will remember who I am in my dreams" and "I will reality check and know I am dreaming in my dreams".

Anyway, had a blank patch and instead of a dream I remember I felt like I was in a void, nothing to use for reality check that I could think of, was pretty vague, had maybe three instances like that last night? Not sure what was going on. I did take 50 mg vitamin B-6 for the first time before bed, maybe that did something.

First time (after falling asleep in meditation) I remember beginning to see HIs, unfocused and I couldn't hear anything, like the oressure in the room was up and my ears were being pressed on, I woke up heart racing and breathing short and fast, after that I had those three instances where I remember thinking "I need to do a reality check, I need to remember who I am" but there was nothing to see or hear, not even myself. :/ Any ideas what my brain was doing?

If you woke up, you were dreaming. It's certainly possible to dream without any imagery, sounds or sensations.

You can still do a reality check when there's no imagery, sounds, or sensations to work with. Just imagine something and see if it manifests itself in the dream.

In case you need any ideas, I've had these types of dreams in the past. With my thoughts I've tried making my bed spin, sink and fly. Also, I've tried making my body float or shift to the side off my bed, again using my thoughts. I've also tried looking through my eyelids. I've focused on HI until it becomes vivid enough that dream forms in front of my closed eyelids. All of these things have worked for me. I've always done these things with the expectation that it will work if I'm dreaming, the same mindset I use for any other reality check.

I think I see what you are talking about. This 'void dream' I had seems to be the closest to induced lucidity yet for me which is exciting. I did get sensations of 'sliding' and vibrations in the first part with the HIs, the other three however there weren't even HIs to work with. I know for next time something like this happens though I will manage to form something from it, I guess it's as simple as thinking "since this is a dream, I should be in a forest." from there I could take it to one of the fantasies in medieval history that I want to live out in my LDs.

other reality checks I guess I could use would be "dream or not, I should have a body", obviously the mind would HAVE to oblige and I would become instantly aware that I am dreaming and could work from there? haha speculation.
