Tips for learning lucid dreaming when sleep deprived

Before anyone says anything, yes, I know that having a full night of sleep is best for lucid dreaming. I'm aware that getting only 4-5 hours of sleep per night is less than ideal for learning how to lucid dream. But, I believe that it's still possible to learn while not getting enough sleep. Besides, I'm losing sleep because I'll be at work, so I kind of have to do it. So, do any of ya'll have tips or techniques for learning LDs while only getting 4 or 5 hours of sleep per night? I'd obviously still keep dream journaling, I'd still repeat a mantra in my head before I go to sleep, but beyond that...
Most of the techniques I've read about require...more sleep than I'd be getting.
      Thanks.

I would look adopting a polyphasic sleep pattern first. This would will allow you dream more than if you slept only once a day while still allowing you to sleep less. The biphasic sleep cycles would probably be the easiest to incorporate.

If you're not able to use a polyphasic sleep cycle, then you have to be extra aware while sleeping in order to be conscious during your dreams. Once you're at this point, all you have to do is remember you're dreaming during those dreams.
