Fake lucid dream or false awakening?

      Hi guys.
Last night i had my first lucid dream. I think. Some doctors were tryin to kill me, and I ran away into a field. That was when i realised it was a dream, and I did all that lucid dreaming stuff i have been want ing to, like flying. Then i woke up. I was happy that i had a lucid dream, told my friends etc. And then i woke up again. Now i don't know if i didn't have a lucid dream, or it was just a 'false awakening'. Hoping to hear your answers.
      Best regards, Frederik

If you woke up from your own bed then it sounds like you had a false awakening, thinking you had woken up and not giving it a second thought. Basically you just had a dream of waking up

      Welcome to Dreamviews, Frederikmf1!

From what you wrote, it looks like you had both a LD and a FA. The LD was first (congratulations!), and then you lost lucidity and had the FA. This is not unusual, and it is helpful to learn to recognize FA's when they happen so that you can restore your lucidity -- this is usually done by getting in the habit of doing a reality check (RC) whenever you wake up, so that when in a FA you can do a RC and discover you are dreaming.
