      Question about my LD quality

So last night I know that I had a LD, but hardly remember. I do recall knowing it was a dream and being in a room almost completely dark (maybe just all dark). Then I remember doing a reality check, but I can't even remember witch one. After that, realizing how unstable the dream felt, I tried to stabilize by rubbing my hands, and doing more RCs. I'm not sure how this turned out though. Eventually I tried to go to a new location, so I looked around, and noticed this corner of my dream, that was peeling up almost like an old page in a book. And out of that corner really bright light began shining out. I couldn't see anything else, and assumed that a new world was behind this really dark scene. I went over to the corner, and began pulling it up, but almost instantly began loosing lucidity, and felt my self waking up. I decided to stop, and tried to find another way out, but just couldn't keep my lucidity. I kept lapsing in and out of lucidity, but eventually just lost it. The reason I'm posting this is because I'm asking, how do I prevent my LDs from being so short and low quality? I've had 5 so far, but all have turned out basically the same in terms of ending very shorltly, and me not being able to do much.

Try the WILD technique, mantras, and ADA. Just try to pay more attention to everything around while you're awake. It will make all dreams appear more realistic and vivid.
You are a wordslave. Unless we can stop using words and classify words by [NATURE] and [HUMAN], which is when we can think like animals and children again. Just like Minnie. I love you Minnie. Rest in peace Minnie.

I'm going to try WILD eventually, but for now I'll focus on more simple techniques like MILD because they seem to be working well. Ive had a lot of success with mantras before, and I'm using one now to wake me up in the night, so I might add an extra one. As for ADA, I don't think the technique is very effective. I've noticed that in all of my LDs, I've attained lucidity by just suddenly noticing I was dreaming or at least having heightened awareness which led me to noticing that I was dreaming. So instead of ADA I practice self awareness. Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, my first lucid dream came from MILD/meditation on mantra so i know how good thery work.

As for ADA, i was just refeering to the fact that they seem to improve the quality of the dreamscape, i didnt really realize that you were asking about dreams fading & stabilization, and not the quality of the dream as the title implied. Sorry. Also, no need to use all of them, what you said is a good strategy.
