      Phone and internet before bed

Has anyone got any interesting info on whether using your phone alot before bed has a negative impact on the chances of becoming lucid or not? Iv looked on the internet abit and it does say its bad for your sleep but havent seen anything about lucid dreaming.
Soon i will try this and make sure to not use my phone and see if theres any difference in how quick i fall to sleep or any difference in the amount i lucid dream.i know ill haveto do this for a month or so for any results im guessing.....im.also hoping that turning my brightness all the way down will help? Thanks =)

      Hello Clidu,
For me, I try not to use technology for at least an hour before bed. I fall asleep much faster when I have to be up early the next day. But I don't think has affected my dreaming.

I use my computer during WBTB to help me incubate a dream. I will look at images or videos of the subject I am interested in. The screen will keep me more awake but this actually helps me with the WBTD method because the longer I am awake and visualizing the wanted dream when I return to bed, the better my chance of having a lucid dream.

Well, I can say that in the last week I have not used much electronics at all. The result was a total 4 Lucid Dreams in the space of 6 days with one single night resulting in 2 separate Lucid Dreams. This is very rare for me to have this many Lucid Dreams in such a short time frame and I'm confident that the absence of using a phone/computer helped me greatly in both LDing and dream recall. Of course this might affect you differently but I suggest you give it a try (using a phone or computer only when needed and not anytime before going to bed). I myself am planning to try this again to verify its positive effect on my ability to LD.
