Hi dreaming people!

It has been a long time since I don't follow dreams anymore because of it turned in a very frustrating activity. They happen from time to time but no more lucids since a couple of years now, as long as I can remember I got only normal dreams, beautifully vivid and surreal enough but no lucid at all. I was pretty active on lucid dreaming but somehow, my sleep patterns are wasted. First time with a night job, I had a few hours to sleep. And my new job doesn't allow me to generate a proper sleep pattern to follow. because of it's week-shifted.
Any advice? Get a new job? No way, you can forget about it, I won't change it. Is there any other thing to try to get back in the game? I was thinking on trying Melatonin, but don't know a name to look for; the search results show food supplements to increase the production of it but I think it's not my case because of my sleeping time is not long enough in the first place and changes from one week to another which is the worse imo.
