Aladdin Lucid Dreaming Device (eeg + electrical current stimulation)

So basicaly if you noticed few years ago there was some scientific research by Dr. Ursula Voss who discovered that you can stimalate your brain by electric current to induce lucid dreams. This is a big thing. I've this article about the topic So can zapping the brain really induce lucid dreams? | dream studies portal and it seems that there should be lucid dreaming device which has REM detector plus the stimulation capability. This would be really dream come true if it would work. Unfortunatelly the went for kickstarter campaign and failed. So my question is how can I stimulate my brain waves by electric current in home? I dont have time to wait for these devices to come to market... I think this might be the future of lucid dreaming, but why nobody cares?

So I found out that they used TRANSCRANIAL ALTERNATING CURRENT STIMULATION ... checked google and there is one product that can make that for 300 dollars... anyone has experience with electric brain stimulation?

Here is a whole thread dedicated to it; but it is a long good read. Dreamviews/Published in Nature Neuroscience 40 hz thread TL;DR: Luciding is a scam. Voss results don't stand up to scrutiny. Many people tried and gave up, one of which was due to the dangers of TACS outside the lab.

How can I conduct this experiment home? I've been traveling the world and put my lucid dreaming practice on hold so I wanted to know where it went with this electric stimulation went... as far I see it did not go very well so far :/
