That is a VERY astute observation, Darkmatters.......I spent most of my life as a landscaper. I started writing and recording music in the 1970's and thought it would be cool to take a nom de plume so, yeah...Len Scaper was born. I write and record now as Leonard Scaper.

My real name is Steve Gleason. Pleased to meet you.

Lol - do you spell that Lynyrd Skypyrd on the albums?

I also thought it possible you might be a landscape photographer, but the 'per' ending really suggested landscaper. I guess my own photography hobby made me see the "lens" that way.

obviously it is desirable. there wouldn't of been a ton of research on it. if it wasn't.
hmm. i like your terminology. waking self me. interesting. you know all that is of that self? your waking self? achieving lucidity allows you to learn even more about your self. in great depth. your dream ego. most people choose to become ignorant of the dream ego. it greatly saddens me. your *version* of your waking self. sounds selfish to me. and lazy. if you never understand or delve deeper. into the ego of your waking-self. you will truly never understand your self. know thy self is a very common saying these days.
being lucid isn't all about control or manipulation. observing the different aspects of your dream-ego. the puzzle lies.
i know who i am. both waking and sleeping. one is not greater then the other. i wont hide from the truths. you are right in saying dream are to be experienced. but! with lucidity i can take it to new levels. to new levels you couldn't possibly understand. for you wont choose to learn there's other parts of your being also known as a psyche. you can explore who you truly are. you truly are three parts, *whole* you can be explored. you can communicate with your subconscious. rather then pretend it does not exist and be ignorant of the other parts of your self. its kinda like a insult to your waking self if you dont explore your self.
while i explored my self. in my journey i have discovered knowledge/wisdom. it's not all about control for the seeker within for i have discovered. its not i who makes the sky blue. the grass green.
