Nope. Just lay there and let it happen. I mean, you want basic experience with WILDs. Like, embrace any discomfort, vibrations, etc. that come up. Be gentle when entering the dream. Stabilize your dream right away. Etc.
It's definitely great for motivation.

It's also great if you have a fear blockage preventing you from achieving WILDs. It kind of forces you to face those.
