Thread: What happened, dreamt I was lucid.

What happened was that you had lucid dream, but unlike your previous lucid dreams, you lost lucidity before the dream ended. After trying things in the dream that you have been wanting to try, you lost interest in the fact that you were dreaming to the point that you no longer consciously knew that you were dreaming. Immediately after the dream ended, you didn't notice that the dream ended because your attention remained on things other than the fact that the dream ended.

So how do I loose interest in being lucid when it's my goal every night, to become lucid?

Sounds like it may have been a real lucid dream.

It’s quite common to become lucid and then lose lucidity as the dream goes on. I believe this is what Dolphin was getting at. If this happens you can drift back into a regular dream and you won’t be aware of the dream ending and instead wake up at a different time and recall it later. The dream may then appear fuzzy and not lucid as your memory of the event has faded somewhat.

It happens from time to time. It doesn’t necessarily mean you did anything wrong, just next time try to remind yourself throughout the dream that you’re dreaming and it will help you remember.

I would assume if you thought you were lucid, then you probably ended up becoming lucid. Just because you didn't really feel the same way as you normally do, doesn't mean the thought of you being in the dream while you were in the dream didn't cross your mind.
