      I think you hit on the answer about sleeping more. I do not do things that will keep me awake. Dreams happen when I sleep so I go to sleep. Mantras should be done in a way to lull you to sleep. WILDs should end up with you asleep within 15 minutes. WBTB needs be no longer than a few minutes if that. I make a point of being in bed at least seven hours but often nine. Being lucid in a dream never seems to make me tired during the day. As far as insomnia I tend to sleep well because I have practiced relaxing and things like meditation and mantra use.
