Hey everyone, so I know doing WILD when going to bed for the first time isn't recommended due to how REM sleep works, I believe I read that while it is technically possible it's really not likely to happen. But sometimes I do try it anyway, and while I also know that you don't have to lay still this is something I like to try anyway (isn't the point of Lucid Dreaming believing something works anyways am I right haha). Now sometimes I have the feeling that it is actually working but I then get scared and wake myself up from it. What sometimes happens is that my hands/arms get numb, tingling, which is usually the first thing to happen, after which my mind starts drifting (last time I had this it literally felt as if my mind shifted to the left. I know it sounds crazy though), and I start thinking/picturing stuff I would never think about. For example last time I got this I randomly started picturing myself as a cowboy in the wild west riding a horse. Sometimes I even have a hard time moving.

So now the bottom line is, are these stages that I'm describing actually signs that the WILD would be working (regardless of it being at the beginning of sleep)? And if so, how do I go through it more, do I just keep doing what I'm doing, try to engage more with the images and try to remain calm how hard that might be. Maybe it would have something to do with the fact that I take something like adderall during the day and around 6mg of melatonin every night.
