      SEROQUEL | Questions

So before I get into this; I've seen alot of threads discussing Seroquel has been deleted/frowned upon. I don't know if this goes against the rules here.
I am prescribed this medication, and I'm NOT abusing it.
What I'd like to know is, since it knocks you out and makes you sleep hard/long, does it have either a negative or positive effect on LD'ing overall?
I spend alot of my time and attention on learning the art of lucid dreaming, but it won't do much good if my medication is blocking it completely. (I don't know if that's true at all)

      Any information is very appriciated!

Are you sure the threads were not about a member named Seroquel? All mental health drugs have some effect on dreams, but they do not keep you from lucid dreaming. I am a pharmacist and honestly believe that seroquel will not inhibit your ability to LD.

Hey I was on Seroquel for quite some time and can tell you that it increases your chances of becoming lucid. I have been on and off Seroquel a few times now and the times I was on it I always had more LD's, and whenever I came off it I noticed a huge drop in LD frequency. It is considered a tranquilizer and not just an SSRI, you definitely get deep uninterrupted sleep with it that's for sure. I was sleeping for like 12 hrs a day on the stuff and had so many LD's. I wanted to get off it though because of the weight gain side effect. I had a lot of trouble coming off it because I became somewhat dependent on it to sleep. Besides those 2 problems its a great medication to be on and certainly helps with LD'ing.
