      haha, i love it.

anything that makes me think there could be something more than all the atoms and death I know to be true is beautiful, and what is reality anyway?

it makes for great art music and film. I'm happy.

I've mostly only gained from learning to LD; I'm much more content with life.

I've noticed a couple interesting things though:

It seems that I can laugh at people I used to find intimidating, knowing I know something greater than they would understand. I dunno, maybe that's selfish... :p

Also, a lot of really random memories seem to be coming back to me frequently. Anyone else get this?
Have you heard the gypsy hymns in the odd hours of the night?

LDing... Well, 30 minutes a day is most of what I dedicate. This includes reality checks, but most of that half hour is spent here at Dreamviews.

Physically speaking, when I keep a consistent sleep schedule I feel better throughout the day. More alert, and remembering more dreams, too.

I'm actually a little proud of my hobby as a lucid dreamer, but it's a hidden pride. My other hobbies include videogames, (Crap. That doesn't deal with real life either!) reading, and writing. And I breed tropical fish.

LD has had a profound impact on my life. I mean, just what exactly is conciousness anyway? If I have an LD and it is every bit as real or more real than being awake???

The line between waking and dreaming sometimes becomes blurred. Does dreaming conciousness have as much validity as waking?

LD's just make me really really happy. Upon waking up from one, I'm in a euphoric state for the rest of the day. I also find myself feeling like...nothing is real. It's kind of scary. Like I feel like I lose grip on reality lately. Even when I do RCs I feel like I'm dreaming. I'm actually a little worried about it.

Lucid dreams have made me doubt my world just a bit. If my brain is capable of fabricating such extensive, detailed worlds while I lie in bed with NO sensory input... how much input does it take to make the 'real' world? When you're awake, how much of the world are you seeing, and how much is just a part of the same 'world-models' you use when you dream?

Oh, and Durza, where do you live in RI? I'm from North Kingstown.

lucid dreaming has definitely changed my perspective regarding the nature of reality; i also have experienced an increase in random memories, especially from my childhood.

i think i'm less afraid to try new things in my waking life now, as I sincerely have my doubts at times as to whether I should believe my own eyes and ears.

Also, my dream recall has increased so much and even my non-lucid dreams are so vivid that the feelings i experience in them and the things that happen to me in them actually carry over during the day
