      Angry Annoying Dc's

Something that really annoys me in lucid dreams is that lots of the time you can't go about your lucid without having a run in with a dc who wants to hurt you, or kill you. I have read lots of people's lucid dreams and i notice this same theme, and also i find that some dc's are invincible. I try telekinesis, magic powers, everything but nothing effects them.

Who else has this problem in their lucid dreams?

I haven't, my DCs act perfectly normal. If they are DCs of people I know, they even act that way.
Well, one time, I used my lucid powers to teleport, and they all ran after me trying to kill me. But I made them explode
      Usually they act normal.

      Hey there,

Like webmaster, the characters in my dream tend to act fairly normal, as I'd expect normal people to react. Some are helpful, some are indifferent, some are annoyed, some are kind. It depends on the circumstances and on my own actions.

Additionally, I can chose to consciously influence a dream character's actions very easily as well. I can pretty much opt to radically change a DC's reactions with some conscious effort, from having them become very obedient to having them become angry to having them completely ignore me and even become unable to detect my presence at all.

I read about people having problems with dream characters on these boards a lot, and personally, I think it has a lot to do with how you look at people in your daily life. If for example you are a bit distrustful of people, your dream characters might likely to be less sympathetic to you, and your distrust of them might even cause them to try and hinder you or attack you (in dreams are unspoken fears are often realised). If on the other hand you like people and like helping others, you might find that dream characters in your dreams might be very helpful in return, etc etc.

I think that DC's in your dreams are a reflection of the way you think about people. In other words, they are your subconscious representation of what people are, or more simply put: "Your DCs and their actions represent 'how you see people'"

      Anyways, just my 2 cents,

My last LD I put on a show for a group of DC by riding around on a fold-up chair.

But, yeah, perfectly normal joes here. Good insights Redrivertears.

trippy thing, because when i've become lucid, there have not been any people around, but in the "normal" pre-lucid dream thier were a lot of people, but when i attain lucidty, mab! No more DCs. Granted maybe the length of the LDs was a factor, both LDs lasted 30 seconds, but still odd

When DC's try to kill me I can usually kill them, except when it's family. No matter what I do, I can't kill my own family.

We've had discussions about that. I agree with the theory that in lucid dreams, your conscious mind is controlling the dream. So the thought required to create DCs is shifted from your subconscious to your conscious mind.

I've never actually had anyone attack to kill me. I've gotten into plenty of fights though. I always win of course. I did have one dream where I had a stalker that kept trying to kill other people to get to me.
